Major Areas of Research
Rate Limited Reactions and Separations
Ultrapure Water Processing
Recent Research Activities
Ultrapure Water Processing emphasizing Ion Exchange
Specific interests are in the use of mixed-bed ion exchange for ultrapure water processing and the removal of ppb and ppt contaminants from industrial process streams. This research can also be broadened toward the treatment of wastewater and ionic decontamination of the environment.
Reaction Kinetics and Reactor Design
General interests are in the determination and evaluation of heterogeneous reaction rate data, and modeling and application of these data to the development of new and existing processes. Emphasis is on rate-limited separation and reaction processes.
